FAQ's

Do you send me orders like ezCater does?

NO, we are NOT a marketplace. We do not advertise for you. HoneyCart is a software for caterers who already have thriving businesses, and are not desperate to receive orders.

Do I own my customer data?

You own the customer, orders & sales data in the system. You have full access to all data. You can take it with you if you ever leave. We will NEVER market to your customers, share or sell your customer data. 

Can I make changes to the menu myself?

Absolutely! Editing your menus is simple enough to do on your own without having to contact support. However, we’re always here to help when you need it.

Do you have house account/corporate billing?

Yes. You can automatically send a single invoice to large "house accounts" for all of their orders. Keep a credit card on file for automated billing.

Can I control Dates & Times that customers pick?

Yes, you can set the delivery/pickup times to be whatever you like.  You can block off when you're fully-booked. You can even set different times based on the type of order (delivery, pickup, holiday). For example, you can lets customers choose any time for Pickup, but restrict times they can choose for Delivery or Thanksgiving.

Can I prevent Last-Minute orders?

HoneyCart lets you control Lead Time so customers can't order past a certain time. Also, you can control when the customer gets charged so you have time to Reject the order if you can't do it.

Can clients login to make changes to their orders?

Yes, clients have the option to create an account during checkout. They can make changes or cancel their order based on what your catering policies allow.

Do clients receive a confirmation when an order is placed?

Yes, we send email alerts to you and the client.

What are your Credit Card fees?

HoneyCart currently uses Stripe for payment processing. Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 for every transaction. No matter the card type, the rate remains the same. Learn more.

When are funds from credit card payments despoited to my bank account?

For U.S. based businesses it takes Stripe two business days to deposit funds to your bank account. Learn more.

Do you store the credit card on file?

Yes. The system stores the card on file when the order is placed, but won’t charge it ‘til you’re ready. This makes it easier to confirm the order, issue refunds or place new orders.

How is the customer's Credit Card info stored?

Each credit/debit card that’s entered into HoneyCart is stored securely by Stripe. We chose Stripe as our payment processor because they handle “billions of dollars every year for forward-thinking businesses around the world”. Learn more.
